MOVING FORWARD....

How can you care about what I have to say if you don’t know who I am or what I’m about?
Okay, Ladies we like to be more personable with all the fluff and Gents most of you don’t care about the gushy stuff you want to get down to business. So guys bear with me…
My life IN A NUT SHELL (who ever came up with this saying “In a nut shell?).
My husband of thirty plus years has a great sense of humor, is a do-it-yourself kind of guy, music is his thing, loves traveling abroad, cruises or in the motor home, camping and fishing. For most of these years he has worked second shift, which meant I would rush home from my job pack his lunch and kiss him goodbye, later in the evening call to catch up on the events of the day.
Then there’s our daughter who is finishing college, getting married this summer (we love him), is involved in church activities and missions trips, music, drama productions etc., and work. Most of our communication would be done via cell phone or post-it notes on the bathroom mirror.
I enjoy being in my kitchen, baking, creating or trying new recipes, sewing , etc., being in our backyard planting and talking to the humming birds and butterflies that are extracting nectar from their favorite flowers. Family is extremely important. Together my husband and I are involved with our church and teach Sunday school. I especially love interacting with children. I’ve been involved with different aspects of the Education field for years. The rewards of finally seeing a child succeed or excel in a certain area of difficulty, well it doesn’t get any better than that.
Not long ago the school where I was teaching decided, at the end of the school year, to close the facility. Unfortunately, that left most, including me, without a job for the following year.
Without an income and the harsh reality of today's inflated costs, just to suvive in this out of control economy calls for creative change!
YAHOO! I am currently working from home and loving it. I can enjoy my family in spite of their crazy schedules and actually have a personal conversation face to face, even if only for a moment. The smell of something yummy baking or cooking is in the air instead of fast food to the rescue. My house is cleaner, everyone is more relaxed and I am grateful for a decent nights sleep.
